~ Charlottetown, your daughter Diane arrived in May and visited with all her friends and family, and now it's time to sadly say, goodbye to you all with love. It was wonderful. Thank you to all my friends and family in Katrine and Charlottetown I enjoyed seeing you all again. ~ Diane wants to remind us of the anniversary of Gertie's death on January 23rd 2014 at the age of 109 years and 10 months, just missing her April 10th birthday by 60 days. Below on the left was Gertie's favorite kitten, and her name sake, from a litter of wild cats at her home in Katrine. Gertie would be so happy to know that "Miss Gertie" is doing just fine. |

Memorial
Gertie Hart's funeral was January 23th 2014. Gertie was in her 109th year, born April 10th 1905. Gertie was Diane's friend since 1940.
